Bordallo Pinheiro's Cabbage is one of the best-loved designs in Portuguese ceramics: the humble, wrinkled cabbage leaf, placed with a wink at the centre of elegant tables where it would otherwise never have been invited.
This little 9 cm leaf is the smallest way to bring the range to the table. Use it for olives, nuts, sea salt or a pat of butter, set one at each place for sauces, or keep it on a dressing table for rings. A few of them scattered among larger Cabbage pieces make a charming, collected look, and they are an easy gift to slip into a hamper.
